Sierra Nevada – Skiing Conditions

- Salobrena and the Sierra Nevada with snow.
By way of follow up to the post at the weekend regarding the discounts for lift passes in the Sierra Nevada ski resort.
Unlike the Costa Tropical where the weather has been pretty good over the weekend – a little breezy but nothing too strong and a little shower during the night but clear blue skies during the day with only the odd white cloud (thanks again to the unique Costa Tropical climate!) – the weather up in the Sierras has been ideal skiing weather a bit overcast and has resulted in a fresh 30 cms of snow falling.
With 30cm and more of snow on the slopes of the ski resort conditions for skiing are excellent – they are infact unusually good for this time of year – thanks mainly to the excessive snow which fell earlier in the year.
The ski resort also has sufficient artificial snow making machines for years when the snowfall is not as plentiful.
On the south side of the Sierra Nevada mountains there is still a lot of snow visible from the Salobrena beaches.
