The Costa Tropical
Salobrena & Skiing in the Sierra Nevadas

With the original date for closure of the Sierra Nevada ski resort being extended from the end of April until 17th May these really are the last few days in which to buckle up the ski boots and have another ski. This year the ski season has been longer than any previous year and on the south side of the Sierra Nevada mountains snow is still visible from Salobrena holiday villas and some of the town houses (most holiday apartments in Salobrena face the sea and therefore do not have mountain views).
Salobrena is the nearest holiday destination on the coast to the Sierra Nevada, just south of Granada and it is possible to be unpacking your boots and skis from the car less than an hour after you leave the town. This year more than any other year it has been possible to go skiing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon on the Costa Tropical (and not in a heated swimming pool).
Although too late to try this this year (unless already here) you can always book your Salobrena holidays now ready for the coming year!
