Rentals Costa Tropical – Swine Flu in Spain

For those considering rentals on the Costa Tropical, Spain as far as I am aware there still have not been an reported cases of swine flu in this area. Both the UK and Spain have reported over a hundred confirmed cases but the threat of a global pandemic seems to be less probable than the experts originally thought and travel restrictions that were put in place have now eased. However, with over 5000 confirmed cases in the USA and about 3700 in Mexico I am glad that I do not have any long distance trips planned to that area of the world.
Even in the news both in Spain and the UK swine flu is not grabbing the same headlines as before and of the cases in Spain I do not know how many have been diagnosed recently but I think the majority were early on and so far as I have seen there have been no fatalities in Spain.
For those interested here is a link to a map with current swine flu data for the world - swine flu map - it looks like Africa is pretty safe – but who knows what else you might pick up there! As usual you must look at the larger picture and keep everything in perspective. For instance most of us would never drive if we were concerned about a hundred or so accidents a year.
