Salobrena Things to Do

If you become tired of lying next to the pool of your rental villa while in Salobrena there are lots of activities to participate in. If you have already visited the castle and other places listed on our page Salobrena places to visit you can spend at least a day if not two in Granada and the Alhambra Palace, visit the Alpujarras, go skiing in the Sierra Nevada (one hour by car) in the winter, visit the caves in Nerja, spend a day at the western sets in Almeria – see the page Costa Tropical Information for more information on these.

Closer to home there are many local walks, sometimes it is good to discover them yourself but the tourist office usually has some cheap local guide books, as well as maps. Also there is a guided walk that can be arranged through Hotel Salobrena and while there you can also see if they still arrange scuba diving trips or lessons!

If you prefer a faster pace than strolling through the rugged hillsides or along the coast there is local bike hire, including quad bikes.

Just below Hotel Salobrena in a secluded bay area there is the Rock Beach Ranch for those who would like to do a bit of horse riding.

Just along the coast in Almunecar there is an acquarium, an exotic bird park, a water park as well as numerous ruins to explore. Details can be found about things to do in the neighbouring towns by visiting the town’s information page using the menus above.
