In La Herradura, apartment rentals along the beach area are available as well as in traditional town houses in the old town. Many of these are located close to the beaches, bars and restaurants of the town are within walking distance. Among the wide selection of apartments for rent in La Herradura not all are on the flat area next to the beach and there are newly built quality apartment buildings (Las Maravillas) at the top of the hill to the east of the town just above the old town. Although there is a cobbled path down the hill into the town and onto La Herradura’s beach this is not always convenient if you have small children and a car may be required.

To the west of the town where there is less development along the beach, a road leads up the hillside towards Cerro Gordo past a camping, dive centre, hostal and restaurants. Up this hill as well as villas there is the development of Las Palomas which has been designed for tranquility, space and green outdoor spaces and provides a good selection of La Herradura holiday apartments for rent. The selection of apartments includes a mixture of low rise apartments made up of old and newer buildings which all blend well into the mature setting where they are built. Above this there is a large development known as Carmenes del Mar which is modern and contains a range of facilities, shopping and luxury residences and swimming pools.

Although there are fewer holiday rental apartments in the main residential areas of Punta de la Mona, Cerro Gordo, San Antonio and San Nicolas which are dedicated mainly to villas there is a good selection of apartments for rent next to La Herradura in Marina del Este which has been developed stage by stage during the last fifteen or so years. The alternative of looking at Marina del Este apartment rentals provides easy access to the facilities there including the pretty beach at the bottom of the hillside (Playa de los Beregueles) below Punta de la Mona.
