Costa Tropical Holiday Rentals – Peace of Mind

 While some exotic destinations caught my eye when deciding where to relocate to in the world ten years ago the idea of some of the injections (I hate needles!) and malaria tablets required in tropical areas of the world made me decide somewhere closer to home would probably be better. With the current outbreak of (swine) flu in Mexico I have to admit that I do feel more secure anhere in Andalucia than if I had been living in Brazil, Costa Rica, Thailand etc. photo credit: melalouise   

 

This week some flights to Mexico have been cancelled and travel advisories are in place. For those who have not booked their vacation yet or whose holiday has had to be cancelled I would expect that flying west to the Americas on holiday would not be advisable for the forseeable future.

Here on the Costa Tropical holiday rentals provide an opportunity to be both close to home and find a relaxing and interesting area of Andalucia which has remained relatively undiscovered. The Costa Tropical stretching from La Herradura to beyond Salobrena up to La Rabita has miles of beaches, golf and waterparks but it also has excellent facilities for tourists and in the worst case scenario has excellent new clean hospitals and medical centres where care is (in my experience and from what I have heard from others) of a higher standard than in the UK. The hospitals are clean and the staff helpful and reports of patients picking up hospital bugs during their stays are rare.
