When considering your possibilities for accommodation on the Costa Tropical there are a wide range of options. Apartment rentals on the Costa Tropical can be found in all the towns along the coast.
The main town of Almunecar has a large selection of apartments and buildings along the beach promenade from Playa Cotobro to the area of Velilla and Taramay in the east of the town.
The apartment buildings in Almunecar are usually at least five floors high while in Almunecar and Salobrena the apartment buildings are usually no taller than three or four floors giving a more intimate feel.
Another good location to find apartment rentals on the Costa Tropical is Marina del Este which is located between Almunecar and La Herradura. Where there is a mix of town houses with gardens and a mixture of apartment buildings.
To the east of the Costa Tropical past the beach front of Motril there are the small Spanish towns of Carchuna, Calahonda, Castell del Ferro. These are small fishing villages which have expanded in recent years to meet the demands of local Spanish coming to the coast in the summer. Most properties here are owned by Spanish and do not rent the apartments.
Inland in Albuñol, Otivar and Velez de Benaudalla there are still a good range of apartments for rent with good access to local walks as well as not being far from the coast. Here you are not only more likely to find longer term rentals but in addition holiday rentals are likely to be far cheaper – so if you were thinking you could not afford a Costa Tropical holiday this summer then find something just a little in land may make the impossible possible.
