With June having flown by including the Gastronomic festival in the shadow of Almunecar’s castle and the festival of San Juan following shortly afterwards both of which are highlights of the summer for myself, Almunecar’s Jazz festival is now looming. Held near the beach in and close to the center of town this festival is well attanded and tickets can be found on the internet through ticket master.
Like the other coastal towns Almunecar is now showing signs of becoming busier as the temperatures rise. Although during the week in July you can find hotel rooms some are over 200 euros a night for two people ( a sudden rise of about 200% compared to a month ago). At weekends it can be very difficult to find somewhere decent to stay in local hotels and pensions. With prices of 200 euros a night for two people a family would probably be able to save money by considering Almunecar rentals for accommodation when visiting the Costa Tropical.
