Almunecar Fair begins

The Almunecar fair began today August 9 and will continue until saturday night when it will end with a fireworks display at 11:00 PM down on the beach. The saturday will be a holiday in the town and nationally so don’t expect to do any shopping that day.
So far this year the events in Almunecar have not been up to par but lets hope they are saving the best for this week. That evening (starting at about 8:00 (PM))there will also be a traditional procession carrying an effigy down to Playa San Cristobal where it will be carried by a flotilla of boats along the shoreline before returning in time for the afore mentioned fireworks.
