Only in mid October – and it has been a hot one, but after some heavy rain last night I have heard that the Sierra Nevada is covered with snow. Too early to go skiing yet but if this continues the ski season in the Sierra Nevada may be even better than last years. PS the weather here on the coast although a little cooler is still in the 20s.

Six turtles head for the sea - Good news that the fisherman did not make turtle soup with them! Hopefully they will have a safe an uneventful swim to wherever they are going! The annual town fair in Nerja has come to an end. Although well attended it was slightly quieter -although still noisy, particularly if you live in one of the neighbouring apartment buildings. This year the weather remained consistantly warm even as the fair closed and people headed home at six in the morning.
