This week as well as the Almunecar fair there are numerous other events to attend along the Costa Tropical culminating on saturday with a national holiday and lots of fireworks. The Almunecar fair began today August 9 and will continue until saturday night when it will end with a fireworks display at 11:00 PM down on the beach. The saturday will be a holiday in the town and nationally so don’t expect to do any shopping that day. *Almuñécar* in mourning for three local deaths - This does demonstrate the old traditional values here – I cannot imagine a concert being cancelled in the UK because a couple of people were killed on their motorbikes and another drowned (obviously very distressing for families and frinds – who have our sympathy).
